The Municipality of Arran-Elderslie is looking for engaged community members, business owners, organizations and local stakeholders to join the Chesley, Paisley and Tara Community Working Groups.
Community Working Groups give residents and stakeholders a meaningful opportunity to help shape the future of their community. Members bring local knowledge, ideas and perspectives to the table and work together with municipal staff and council to identify opportunities, discuss challenges and help move forward projects and initiatives that support economic development, downtown revitalization and strong, vibrant communities.
As a member, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Bring forward ideas and opportunities for your community
- Help identify priorities for downtown revitalization and economic development
- Provide input on projects and initiatives that can make a visible difference
- Help turn community ideas into positive action
- Be part of important conversations about the growth and future of Chesley, Paisley or Tara
The Community Working Groups are Committees of Council and meet quarterly (or as needed) in person at 5:00pm in their respective community.
As part of the appointment process, applications will be presented to Council for consideration during a closed session of Council. Successful applicants will be appointed to their respective Community Working Group by Council.
Interested in helping shape what comes next for your community? We’d love to have you at the table.
Please submit your completed application by December 4th to be considered for membership. Applicants are encouraged to review the Terms of Reference for their Community Working Group for additional information.
Applications can be dropped off at the Municipal Administration Office at 1925 Bruce Road 10, Chesley, or submitted using this form.
